The Gut: A Miraculous Wonder

thanks folks we thankful for your every click!

In fact, many scientists now recognize the gut as an external organ, although it is inside our body. This is because the gut is the gateway to the bloodstream and rest of the body. The intestinal barrier, located in the lining of the small intestine, is what prevents harmful substances from entering our body. So where do things go wrong? When that barrier is damaged or compromised, foreign molecules can pass through the barrier to the bloodstream causing the body to launch an immune response to protect itself. This is known as intestinal permeability, or what many refer to as “leaky gut,” which is connected to a wide variety of health conditions, including food sensitivities, allergies, and autoimmune diseases. The following is a partial list of conditions related to intestinal permeability:
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis
  • Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis)
  • Depression, Anxiety, and Mood Disorders
  • Schizophrenia and other mental health disorders
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Lupus
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
  • Type 1 Diabetes
  • Asthma and Allergies
  • Skin Disorders (Acne, Eczema, Psoriasis)

It is also essential that our gut contain a proper balance and wide diversity of beneficial bacteria. These tiny intestinal organisms digest your food, control your appetite and metabolism, orchestrate your immune system, affect your mood, and help determine how your genes are expressed. They play a major role in heart, bone, and brain health along with producing certain nutrients.
Unfortunately, our modern world is full of things that upset the glorious balance of the microbiome, leaving the majority of the population with inadequate beneficial bacteria. The following lists the most common offenders when it comes to gut health:
  • Medications such as antibiotics, birth control, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), anti-depressants, antacids, and more
  • Chronic stress, which can affect gut permeability and change bacterial composition
  • Exposure to environmental toxins, especially pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals (lead, mercury, arsenic), and plastics (Bisphenol-A)
  • Food toxins such as artificial preservatives, colorings, sweeteners, hormones, antibiotics, and chemical additives and in some cases wheat and gluten
  • Dental toxins including mercury amalgams, root canal toxins, and poor oral hygiene
  • Inadequate bacterial acquisition at birth (C-section, parents gut health, inadequate breast feeding)
  • Current health or disease status

The good news is that our intestinal cells can regenerate and the lining can be repaired. In fact, the intestine is the most highly regenerative organ in the body, regenerating its lining every five to seven days. This continual cell renewal allows the lining to withstand the constant wear and tear of breaking down food, absorbing nutrients and eliminating waste. To improve the health of your glorious gut, follow this four-step approach:
  • Remove the gut offenders listed above as best you can, to minimize cumulative damage.
  • Restore the health of your digestive system by consuming whole foods rich in enzymes, fiber, and nutrients.
  • Reintroduce beneficial bacteria by consuming fermented foods (yogurt, sauerkraut, miso, tempeh, kimchi, kombucha, etc. – see last month’s newsletter) or by taking a probiotic supplement.
  • Food toxins such as artificial preservatives, colorings, sweeteners, hormones, antibiotics, and chemical additives – and in some cases wheat and gluten
  • Repair the intestinal lining with gut-healing foods. Diet has the most powerful influence on gut microbial communities in humans. Choose whole foods rich in polyphenols, which promote growth of prebiotic microbes (food for our good bacteria) and decrease disease-causing bacteria.

If you have ever had a digestive problem, you know how it can negatively affect your health. By fixing problems in the gut, especially with bacterial balance, you may find many other health improvements such as a loss of excess fat, gains in energy, and better overall mood. Never underestimate the power you have to restore health by focusing on your glorious gut.

I felt I needed to revisit this post and do a REPOST! What bothers me – what ALWAYS bothers me – is when companies (or governmental regulatory bodies, even) tout something as natural, when its sole ability to exist in the way we consume it as a supplement is based on wholly unnatural, synthetic chemical processes. Hello Dear people! I just met the most delightful soul yesterday and she read the following post and knew why she shouldn’t eat anything with XYLITOL in it.  So, I wanted it to be fresh in your minds again. Here it is.

RE- POST!

What bothers me – what ALWAYS bothers me – is when companies (or governmental regulatory bodies, even) tout something as natural, when its sole ability to exist in the way we consume it as a supplement is based on wholly unnatural, synthetic chemical processes.

DON’T FALL FOR XYLITOL AS I DID FOR TWO YEARS!!

What’s wrong with Xylitol

Most xylitol is made from GMO corn and is a highly processed food like substance, it is NOT “natural” in the sense you and I would use the word. (It can be made from birch tree bark, if so, the package will state it… Even so 1. birch xylitol is still extremely processed and 2. most “products” like finished foods and personal care items containing xylitol use corn)

Most commercial Xylitol is processed using heavy metals, chemicals, is bleached and is hydrogenated to extract the sugar alcohols from the fiber of the plant. Xylitol is fairly new on the food scene so we have little evidence of long term use in a large population, If we think of other hydrogenated foods we will quickly realize they have a long history of turning out to be very bad for our health, think margarine, fast food or donuts… all cause chronic inflammation and disease. Reasoning would lead one to err on the side of caution and avoid any hydrogenated processed food.

Since it is a processed extracted sugar alcohol it is not digested like a natural sugar and throws the gut’s ecosystem out of balance.

There is also a small concern about it’s toxicity in rats and a possible link to increasing epileptic seizures.

it is toxic to dogs and can kill your pets if they eat your food, gum or toothpaste

Finally:

The claims about Xylitol preventing cavities is based on the theory that bacteria on the tooth surface eats sugar creating acid that decays the enamel which causes cavities, anyone who looks into modern holistic dentistry will soon find that the current thinking is so much more complicated than this. Cavities are a symptom of malnutrition leading to a deterioration of the tooth. essentially cavities are a bone disease caused by a lack of the proper diet and sunshine (vitamin D), therefore xylitol’s anti-bacteria qualities are not only systemically toxic but only a band-aid over a much deeper problem.

The Mind Has more Power Than Medicine

Thanks for joining me here !   I believe one of the most influential  reasons the mind has been dismissed in the medical community is a result of their financial considerations. If the power of your mind can heal your sick body than why should you visit the Doctor? Why would you need to buy drugs? Drug companies study the patients that respond to the sugar pills, or placebos, so that they can eliminate those people from the clinical trials!

It makes drug manufacturers  so mad that in most of their clinical trials, that the sugar pills, placebos, and “FAKE” drugs prove to be just  as effective as their engineered chemical cocktails.

So the effectiveness of the placebos are a threat to the pharmaceutical industry.

So the message is clear  from drug companies, if you can’t beat the placebo pills fairly simply remove the competition. The new trials for drug safety and efficacy  are skewed folks , bottom line us your mind to heal it can be done.

SO HAPPY YOU CLICKED HERE!

I just wanted to thank all of you so very  much for the love and support you have shown me! Tens years today!

I opened this business after I resigned as a Registered  Dietician, back in 2007.  I wish you could have seen my mother’s face when I told her I was resigning from a very lucrative , prestigious medical position, to go back to school and become  a naturopathic doctor with a concentration in colonics!  I had studied dietetics in medical college  for 9 years, practiced nutrition for 11 with the state of NC, got to the top of my game as a NC state Nutritionist Director, and resigned to provide enemas.

 My mother was HORRIFIED!

Let’s face it, if your bright young kid, says mommy I want to be a colonic therapist, what do you say?

I hope you say “GO GIRL”! trust me it won’t be your son.

This is the single most helpful purposeful tool you will ever find!

Besides, Enemas have been around for 7,000 years!

The Phoenix Generation: The Rise of Those Who Will Change the World

June 5, 2016 by

INFINITE GRATITUDE TO YOU!

The world we live in now is changing rapidly. The normal state of affairs is not the static and stationary that we sometimes view our lives to be, but of flux and flow. The sayings of Heraclitus remind us of this process: “Nothing endures but change,” “There is nothing permanent except change,” “All is flux, nothing stays still.”Civilizations manifest change, movement, paradoxes, ambiguities, and contradictions. Society can not afford to stagnate, otherwise it will collapse. A living society requires a continual movement of energy and adaptation.

The world we inhabit now was never meant to be our destination or to serve as a permanent state, simply because it is not sustainable. The last 150 years especially have been an accelerating ride fueled by an over-reliance upon constant growth and exploitation that could never be sustainable in the long run. The reason why human society has (relatively speaking) come so far so fast is that we’ve had an unprecedented spurt of growth that we’ve exploited to the max.

Like a rocket ship that burns its booster fuel to get it into orbit, our societies (especially those that developed out of the western Industrial Revolution) have been burning the booster fuel these past 150 years to get us where we are. We are now in global orbit — yet there’s precious little fuel left. Or rather, fuel of the same type and source. However, another point largely overlooked is that the view from orbit is vastly different than it is from the ground. We can see more of the bigger picture. The view from orbit has a deep effect on our perceptions — it shifts us from a place of limited ground-based perception to a place of extended perception. Yet we first need to accept we are in orbit — in a new “space” — before the new perceptions can begin to kick in and alter the way we look at things.

A major issue we face is that humanity, in general, is so conditioned that many want to bring back a certain status quo, even after it has vanished. Change is occurring faster than our textbooks can keep up, even faster than what is taught in our education systems. We can never go back from this point onwards as there is no world to go back to. It no longer exists — it has been transformed whilst we have been living in it. Just as fish that swim in the river, the water is never the same as it is continually flowing. No fish ever swims in the same spot of water twice, unless it is within either contained or stagnant water.

A key factor during the next couple of decades is that three generations of people will be sharing an activated awareness of the emerging perceptual shift. The teenagers and young people who were around during the Harmonic Convergence of 1987, who heard of it and maybe even followed its happening, were some of the first wave to tune into the shift of the new energies. Their parents, who were the war generation, have largely been unable to recalibrate for the energetic change. The “Harmonic Convergence” generation, who were perhaps 15-30 at the time, will now be in the 40-55 age bracket. Many of these will have already begun families and thus seeded a new generation, who may be somewhere in the 15-30 age bracket (if we take 25 as the average age for beginning a family). At present this second generation is the most “consciously aware” of the perceptual and energetic change now occurring since they were already born into a planet with a different energetic signature. Thus, they arrived already “hard-wired” for the change. Over the next couple of decades this aware generation will seed the third generation, who will become even greater agents of change as they will all arrive with a completely different range of consciousness, entirely suited to the new energies of the 21st century. Therefore, by 2030, the three generations will look something like this:

• First Generation: 58-73
• Second Generation: 33-48
• Third Generation: 8-23

The third generation will usher in a new society that will emerge from the ashes of the present one, and it will seem equally incomprehensible and unacceptable to the older generation as well as to the people who are today the younger generation. That is why I term this new generation the Phoenix Generation as they will rise from the ashes of our old social systems. Many of today’s youth, fragmented into delinquents and forward-thinking progressives, will appear largely ineffectual just as the old system now crumbling appears to us to be hierarchical, hypocritical, and stultifying. The “phoenix generation” will refuse to accept the belief systems dogmatically maintained by current societies; they will exhibit a frame of reference beyond the box that has been stifling us to date. The “phoenix generation” will have an altered perspective and set of perceptions. They won’t adapt to change — they will be born as change. They are the fully-wired change agents needed to bring the new social structures into being. They will also represent the new thinking — the new consciousness — that will signify our new global societies.

The world is now outliving and moving beyond mechanical systems, and beyond the hypocrisy of commercial “spirituality” that conditions people to accept ludicrous claims and fantasy. The “phoenix generation” is likely to understand that society and spirituality are mutually complementary, and that both require vision combined with discipline and action in order to manifest the future.

As the saying goes: A few transformed people can transform millions; millions of untransformed people can do — or be — next to nothing.
